中国演艺设备技术协会（原中国文艺演出物资协会）成立于1991年，由中华人民共和国文化部主管，是具有社会团体法人资格的国家一级社会团体，是中国演艺设备与器材行业的权威代表，她主导协调全国演艺设备与器材行业经济技术的发展。协会现有1000余家会员单位，会员遍布全国各地，均为演艺设备行业从事科研、生产、经销、工程的单位，汇集了大量专业音响、专业灯光、中西乐器、舞台机械、场馆设备等专业的优秀企业。有130余位个人会员，个人会员云集了行业内的知名专家、学者。

    协会成立之初，全国演出物资流通主要依靠订货会和政府的计划指标分配，协会的名称正是反映了当时的经济发展状况。引导企业向科技化、规范化、集团化、外向型的方向发展，是行业协会在新的形势下实现行业经济全面、协调、可持续发展的关键。而“中国文艺演出物资协会”的名称已经不能适应经济发展的现状和形势的要求，不能较好地体现行业经济技术活动的现状。经协会理事会讨论，协会的更名符合当前行业实际情况，有利于推动行业生产发展和技术进步。经文化部、民政部批准，2005年10月30日，中国文艺演出物资协会正式更名为“中国演艺设备技术协会”。

    协会遵循四届会员代表大会制定的方针和目标，在邓小平理论和“三个代表”重要思想指导下，按照科学发展观和构建和谐社会的要求，在全行业中实施两项战略：实施行业科技化、标准化、规范化战略，实施产品品牌战略；实现一个目标：将中国演艺设备行业建设成高科技、集团化、国际化的新型产业。使演艺设备行业成为我国现代化建设中一个充满生机与活力的产业。

Brief Introduction to China Entertainment Technology Association

China Entertainment Technology Association (CETA) was established in 1991, under the supervision of the Ministry of Culture, People's Republic of China. As a legal person, it is a national first class public organization and an authorized representative in the entertainment technology and equipment industry of China. CETA is responsible to coordinate the economic and technical development of national entertainment technology and equipment industry and now represents nearly 1000 member institutions and over 130 members nationwide. They are the best and brightest in the technical research, manufacture, sales and engineering in the filed of entertainment technology and equipment, covering reputed enterprises in pro-audio and lighting, Chinese and western musical instrument, stage machinery, and stadium & gymnasium entertainment equipment and forming a national market network.

In the beginning of CETA that was just established, local theatrical equipment was distributed by that the conference of booking goods and arrangement of government, CTEA showed economic development at that time. Leading entertainment technology to forward development, it is the key point for CETA to developing in industry. But “China Theatrical Equipment Association (CTEA)” is not suit in economic development already now; it could not to show the technology’s status in industry now. Discussed by Council, the CETA is more advantage to force development of manufactory and development of technology. Approved by the Ministry of Culture and Ministry of Civil Affairs, China Entertainment Technology Association (CETA) is used for the new title, instead of formally China Theatrical Equipment Association (CTEA).

Holding high the great banner of Deng Xiaoping's Theory and the important thought of "three Represents", following the policies made by four CETA conferences, and with scientific development view and building a harmonious society as guidelines, CETA brings into effect two strategies: one is the strategy of scientization and standardization, the other is the brand strategy. The aim of CETA is to build the theatrical equipment industry as a high-tech, collectivized and internationalized new-style industry.
